The salesman never came to the house prior to the move to take inventory, therefore; the didn't have enough manpower or space for the houses contents. The move took 5 hours longer than the estimate and more men had to come to the move. The truck was packed and closed while items still remained in the home. We had to make several trips in our vehicles to move the remaining items. The men were also tired and cranky towards the end of the day, which caused sloppiness in the unpacking process. Our refrigerator was dented and a stressful part of the move when it didn't fit through the doorway. They eventually got it through but damaged the frig as well as the paint on the walls. They damaged our buffet by standing on it in the van in order to unpack. They proceeded to tell us it was water damage however it was on top of the piece and someone did see them on top of it. They then charged us more than the quote for the move and wouldn't contact our salesperson to confirm the rate. At 9pm, we didn't want to argue and paid the higher fee which was eventually reimbursed. However, we still are awaiting the claim paper for the damaged buffet to report. We were not happy at all with the service and would never use them again nor recommend them to anyone we know! However, some of the guys were very polite and helpful throughout the day.

You can get more than one estimate, but you need not look any further than Ridgewood Moving. This is the second time I have used them and they arrive on moving day and take over. The crew is courteous and efficient and take care to respect your belongings and homes. They even fixed legs on a coffee table that was broken for months. Highly recommend them. Thanks again guys!

From the initial conversation with Susan to a professional, well-spoken and fair salesperson Deidre to a a great group of movers- my experience with Ridgewood movers was a great one! My estimate was given the week before my move and they were able to accommodate our move. Susan held the spot for me even before the estimate was given.
